I'm still confused on what tires to get for my 15x7 FW rims. Does anyone have some picture's they can post of the following tire sizes:

1. BF Goodrich P225/60/R15 tires on 15x7 FW rims
2. BF Goodrich P235/60/R15 tires on 15x7 FW rims
3. BF Goodrich P245/60/R15 tires on 15x7 FW rims

I was planning on 225s or 235s on front and 245s on back, will this combo work or would it be safe to go with 225s front & 235s rear? It would be nice to see pics from the back as I'm concerned about the tire bulging too much. Thanks for any help!

Sorry I don't have pic's, but I would go with 235's in front and 245's in rear....
or even 255's in rear.

These are 225/60/15 and 245/60/15 on 15x7 rally wheels - not FW code, though, I think these are the monte carlo code from the mid 70's.

This is on a '68 with Hotchkis suspension, the 225/60's might look a little small at a stock ride height.

Just installed these. Previous tires were almost brand new but I was tired of the front wheels rubbing the wheel well on turns, they were 235's in the front.

Front: P225/60R-15 95S RWL

Rear: P255/60R-15 102S RWL

I just changed my 235-60s to 225-60s on front. Mine also rubbed. Havent driven it yet . Now I have 225-60 -15 front and 245-60-15 on rear of my 67 RS with FW rally wheels/ 4 1/4 backspacing.

Here is a 235 on the front and a 255 on the back with 15x7 rims. I still have to lower the back end though. I am still going to experiment with 15x8 on the back for a beefier look. The front rubs in tight corners on the frame but I was told that when I convert to disc brakes it will push the tire out a little to compensate that problem.

I was thinking of putting BFG T/A 235 x 60 x15 on my 15 x 7 Rally wheels on the front of my 69 Camaro, with stock suspension. Will they rub the front fenders during turns?

Don't know about fenders but probably rub the frame on tight turns. Mine do. (Drum brakes)

I ran F60/15 BFG's on 15x8 Corvette rallyes for awhile back in the '70's, and had some scrubbing both on the inside and at the wheel lip on hard turns, especially if the front end was moving up/down due to bumps. I installed rounded head cap screws in the front fender lips, but even with that I eventually reinstalled the original 15x7 wheels and F70/15's.

I'm running this combo and am very happy with the looks and handling. P215/65R15 front and P235/60R15 in the rear.

Hi Clint. :) You don't say what year/make/model car these are for, but I would assume a Camaro of one generation or another. With my 1969 Yenko Camaro, and the stock rallye wheels, (15 X 7), the maximum tire size I could get on the car, (for best handling and braking), was a B.F.G. Comp T/A in a P235/60R-15 for the front and a P255/60R-15 for the rear. Yes, the front tires just barely touched the frame when the steering wheel was all the way over, which one rarely would need to do anyway and it would be under very slow speed, parking conditions, if ever, so I didn't feel it was an issue at all. It might be a better choice than to use the undersized P225/60R-15, with a subsequent reduction in safe load carrying capacity, reduced handling and braking. This same size suggestion also works for the second generation Camaro from 1970 to 1981.

I'd also suggest setting the air pressure at 32 psi, (cold), for more even wear, otherwise the rear tires will wear out in the middle prematurely.

If it will give you any further peace of mind, I am a B.F.Goodrich T/A Certified Tire Specialist.

I used 235 x 60 on stock FW wheels, no issues. Stepped up to 245x60 all round and tires rub headlamp motor covers only on bump turns. I went to 16'' aftermarket wheels , same offset and 245x50 G-force TA now and no issues. Good thing about going to a matched set is you can rotate tires front to back.
