BARRY A Aug 1st, 08, 11:07 AM side Kurt S Aug 1st, 08, 11:59 AM The side striping reputedly started 1/2/68, so with that build date, it's hard to say. I also saw a 68 02E LOS car that the owner said had original paint and a bumblebee stripe (now repainted). I question that, but don't have alot of data on the stripe transition. thorpe67RS Aug 1st, 08, 12:02 PM The side striping reputedly started 1/2/68, so with that build date, it's hard to say. The good news based on that is its your choice. Whichever one you like better and either could be correct. That would be a tough decision for me. Love em both. 36j1967 Aug 1st, 08, 12:35 PM I wonder if the stripe and the louver style changed at the same time. I personally like the later stripe and stack louver. al8apexer Aug 1st, 08, 01:13 PM here are some pics of the 68 SS that GM photographic used, the later one is an airbrush job (VERY common back in the day) Early: http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a26/JimRohn/Paper/68camaross.jpg Later: http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a26/JimRohn/Paper/68camaross1.jpg 169indy Aug 4th, 08, 09:49 PM The side striping reputedly started 1/2/68, so with that build date, it's hard to say.
