I'm in the process of installing a Covan's dash with full gauges in my 69 Camaro. I'm having problems getting the left side AC vent back in with the rest of the vents that go above the steering column and under the dash. What's the best way to do this? It appears that I would have to drop the entire steering column from the firewall to do this? THANKS.

Yep... the steering column drop is far easier than to looks
Remove cover plate behind the pedals, and clamp bolts at the bottom of the dash frame, drop column, and u should have enough room.
