Having been in the Milwaukee/Waukesha area forever I am quite familiar with Dale Chev.

In addition to being one of the largest Corvette dealers they had all flavors of Chevrolet Hi-Performance. They had two of the dx'd Gibb ZL-1s [#7 & #49] at least six COPO Camaros [three still around] and one of the neatest '69s I've ever seen: yellow/yellow JL-8 Z/28-RS. They were supposed to have done a few 427 transplants; the only one I know for certain is a '68 Nova. They sponsored race cars, one of them being the #7 ZL-1 raced as L'il Brother Hugger with an L72 engine. They were not a Yenko dealership until 1970 and did sell a number of Deuces. [Most '69 Yenkos in this area came from Yunker Chev nearby in Oconomowoc].

I wish I had file cabinets full of their paperwork - there is no question they sold hundreds of SSs, Z/28s, L78s, LS-6s. HP cars received a distinctive dealer emblem - it resembled the Z/28 rocker cover decal.

Dale Chev morphed into Lynch Chev in the '70s; the site is now a food store.
