Does anybody have any suggestions or recommendations for the rebuilt original water pumps for the 302 motors. Various places like Classic Industries and some online Ebay stores are selling them, at wildly varying prices. Any input would be helpful. Thanks.

Buy a core and do it yourself....that's what I did for my BB. You need a press to do it. I've also heard that AZ or NAPA can send your pump away to be rebuilt.

Where do you get the parts to rebuild it? List of parts that are replaced? I would assume you have to measure the shaft for excessive wear?

I've used several of the "Zip" kits to do 'vette pumps for friends.
The "Deluxe" kit is the way to go for the better seal and parts - http://www.zip-products.com/Zip/productr.asp?pf%5Fid=WP%2D116&gift=False&0=dept%2Easp%2Cdept%5Fid%3D2844%26menu%5Fid%3D%26T ree%3D%2C68%2D82%20Corvette%20Parts%20%26%20Access ories&1=dept%2Easp%2Cdept%5Fid%3D2316%26menu%5Fid%3D%26T ree%3D0%2C68%2D82%20Engine&2=dept%2Easp%2Cdept%5Fid%3D2276%26menu%5Fid%3D%26T ree%3D1%2C68%2D82%20Water%20Pumps&3=dept%2Easp%2Cdept%5Fid%3D2278%26menu%5Fid%3D%26T ree%3D2%2CWater%20Pump%20Rebuild%20Kit&HSLB=False&mscssid=054F8B9A23F3949A996F056CDF887E13
