Finally started the little 357 today, specs are in my sig. The 112 LSA nitrous grind doesn't sound as nasty as the old 106 LSA roller but should respond well to the nitrous. Too many things to do to make it to test n tune tomorrow but I'll be there on the 15th to see what she'll do.

Oh, and those shocks are one of the things that will be changed. The chassis shop mounted the Kragen stockers just so I could drive the car home. I'll mount some nice adjustable ones more vertical. Also need to replace the 3 chamber Flowmasters. :beers:

Sounds good, Have you run this suspension set up before?

YYEEEEEEESSSSSSSS!!!!!!! ABSOLUTE music! INCREDIBLE!!!

There is something about the sound of a well set up engine! Instant throttle response!!!

Raises the hair on the back of my neck! I saw a Pro Street GTO (yes, it had a Pontiac engine) leave a cruise night the other night that did exactly the same thing to me. Next time I see him I'll have to get more details on his combo. I find it funny how I can hear a hundred cars with big cams and aftermarket exhaust systems but only 1 out of that hundred will have "THE" sound.

No info about the exhaust in your sig. Sounds like an X-pipe. What muffs?

Thanks. :beers:

The suspension set up is just caltracs with split monos, a narrowed rear and mini tubs. The only departure from the norm are the shocks. New shorter adjustable ones will be mounted straight up and down.

Whoops, missed the Flowmaster comment in your first post.

No problem. Current exhaust is 3" 3 chamber Flowmasters with an "H" pipe. I'll swap the mufflers for Dynomax Ultraflo's or bullets. Not sure yet. Don't want it to be too loud.

Thanks

Man that sounds good. Congrats on getting it together. I thought you were doing a big inch small block. Am I thinking of someone else or did you change your mind? Either way sounds real nice.

Thanks Darren! I'm still doing the big inch small block. Just didn't want to try and go from running 10's to 8's in one big jump. :D

By the sound of it you might be close to 8s with this one.

Sounds good!! Nitrous should really like that 112 LSA. Good luck with it, attention to detail was paid so, it should run like you expect.

Thanks Royce! :beers:

The cost to coat the pistons was $40 each. That was for the ceramic on top and a low friction coating on the bottom. Bell & Gaines in Modesto built the motor but they wouldn't tell me who did the coating for them.

Thanks! Funny how some shops are secretive like that but, it's business.
