Well If you followed my squeal post that problem is fixed. Now it's my cooling:sad:. Before I had a stock pump that had a bad bearing. My temp would go to 190* at idle and cool down to my 180* fan shutoff in about 45 seconds without a problem. My second dual fan wouldn't even turn on. I installed a new Bosch stock water pump from Pepboys and now my temps go up to 190* then the fan turns on and it won't cool it down until I start driving???? Cruising its fine. All the air is out of the system. I checked many times. Could this pump just not push as much water as the Napa pump? Should I get a high flow pump?

I believe you hit the nail right on that big head of yours!!......If the Napa pump was a reman core, most likely it was a high flow!.....This could be determined by checking out the impeller, inside the pump......A new high volume pump along with a high flow stat will keep you cool!:thumbsup:

Napas pumps are high flow? What does the impeller look like? I do have a high flow stat also.

Apparently the NAPA pump you had was a high flow!.....The number of blades and the design of the impeller determines how much the pump will flow.

Here's the Napa pump. High flow? I was looking at the flow just now. It really just dribbles out at idle. Better flow when reved.

you know it is normal for these cars to heat up to 190+ at a lengthy stop light and cool WAY down when driving at a higher speed.
I do understand your deli ma though.
I noticed my cooling system cycles pretty fast too.
yours should stay more steady than 45 seconds with 2 fans, a good pump and a good radiator.

Before it shut down one fan after 45 seconds and now it won't. It even turns on the second fan at 195* All I did was replace the water pump. The fan is running twice as much now. Thats why.

I found this compaired to the old one. I ended up taking the pump back off to inspect. Look at the picture for what I found. I would think that tolerance would make a difference. What do you think?
