Does anyone know if chevy put a build sheet anywhere besides the seats or gas tank? i have a 67 rs/ss i just picked up but the guy lost the seats at the upholster shop years ago and the only rust in the whole car happens to be in the middle of the trunk .So i can see the top of the tank .Dont see how a buildsheet could survive. Thanks guys.

Hard too tell if you dont pull the tank. I guess you could find a build sheet anywhere but those were the most common. I was shocked to find mine recently. It was in bad shape from all the years and a recent leak at the neck. I put up some pics under 'build sheet info request' a week ago. If you go to that post you can see that it was on the left side of the tank and crunched up. .....may be hard to see through the trunk pan.

LOS built camaros had the "broadcast sheet" (not build sheet) on top of the gas tank, Norwood built camaros never did (that anybody has ever seen).
Some papers have been found in odd places in the reading you can do here over the years. Papers have been found crunched up under the dash, shoved on top of the rear wheel well in the trunk, just about anyplace "might" have some sort of paper BUT it is most likely you will NOT find anything. If you are doing a tear apart to restore, just keep your eyes open. But dont hold your breath either :)

I found this is in my (nearly untouched) Norwood car:

It was stuck under the carpet in the passenger foot well
The black stains are from a kind of tar that seeped from the underside of the carpet to the paper. I have tried several solvents, but none will remove the tar
