I have a 1968 Camaro Coupe. It has a 327 under the hood and a 2 speed transmission. At this point it doesn't matter to me whether or not its stays origional but I just want to have more torque and low end power, while still having alot of top speed. As of right now, everything is origional except the exhaust, valve covers, distributor, & the engine has been rebuilt.

You could swap the PowerGlide transmission for a Turbo 350 or 400:yes:.

Its probably worth more with the original equipment. You could swap out the engine and trans and keep the original stuff for when you want to restore. Got any $? If money is a factor you need to find out which rear gears you have and decide what you want to change, be it trans, gears, motor.....
