........don't get discouraged:noway:. It required 5 years to get mine on the road and I'm sure there are other's here that have taken longer to complete and some no where even close to be completed yet. When you finally get it on the road, it will be worth the effort.

For sure! And even guys who scored their cars in 1971 have the engine out.
Me? I scored mine in 1969. Kept it looking new because it started that way.:beers: But I pulled my engine twice last year. And I might do it again this winter. Fun! That's what hotrods are all about.

Paid $2,289+tax for this used Z28 with 25,948 miles at a Chrysler Dealer's Lot in Huntington Beach. Numbers matching original.:)

Nice to see a Cortez Silver Z/28 that still has the silver colored grille. That's a rarity today.

Here are a few photos I have taken on some of the 69's we have here in Sweden. We have over 400 1969 Camaros over here and it is the highest number of any year of all Camaros in Sweden. So you can say that it is very popular here too.

http://www.protouring.se/files/swedish_camaros/DSC_3132.jpg
Indy Pace Car. This is a lowmiler, same owner since 1973 who bought it from the original owner. Car still has the factory brake pads! Only thing is that it got a repaint some 25 years ago.

http://www.protouring.se/files/swedish_camaros/DSC_2889.JPG
Nice SS 396 with a lot of nice stuff invested in the car. Built in Pro Touring style with all the right parts.

http://www.protouring.se/files/swedish_camaros/DSC_3192.jpg
Nice SS350

http://www.protouring.se/files/swedish_camaros/DSC_4024.JPG
Good looking Z/28, Hugger orange is pouplar everywhere.

http://www.protouring.se/files/swedish_camaros/DSC_7405.JPG
Loaded SS350 Rallye Green and White on White. Imported a few years ago in excellent condition.

http://www.protouring.se/files/swedish_camaros/DSC_7467.JPG
A very nicelly built YenkoClone.

http://www.protouring.se/files/swedish_camaros/DSC_7648.jpg
This one is special, sold new in Switzerland (That is another country than Sweden). Has a very special trimtag like the Antwerp cars, but slightly different.

http://www.protouring.se/files/swedish_camaros/DSC_7859.JPG
A very nice SS396 that was sold new in Sweden, has KPH Speedo.

http://www.protouring.se/files/swedish_camaros/DSC_9227.jpg
This one is built by the same guy who built the Yenkoclone, he sold that and built this one over the winter.

http://www.protouring.se/files/swedish_camaros/DSC_9338.JPG
A nice Daytona Yellow Z/28 that came as a private import 1970 to Sweden. Now it has CrossRam setup and runs really well.

Enjoy.

Here is my '69 Z28/RS which I've owned since 1976. It's factory original including drivetrain, interior, glass, and chrome - undriven garage queen since 1980, I'm trying to get it going again. It has original paint from the firewall back which I'm planning to polish and preserve... and maybe repaint the front clip as the hood needs repainting badly.

OK.. but I hope I don't bore you *S* A week or so ago, I rolled the car out of the garage and washed the dust off.. wiped it down on the inside etc and took a few pix. I just put them on photobucket so I could post some which I'll do here. Since I've been on TC these past 2 months, I've been digging thru my garage for the parts I removed from it many years ago, and most of which I've found. I'm going to reassembel the original 302 engine shortly and reinstall it (currently there's a 350 LT1 engine in it which I've never driven in it). I pulled the 302 engine in the early 80's and planned to put the higher torque 350 in it, but never finished that job.. :( and now I'm determined to go back to the 302 (bored 0.030 with 11.7:1 Forgetrue pistons and just juice up the gas if I have to ?)..

Gary,

The bottom square under the pictures that has the [ IMG ] ( in photobucket ) is the one you want to copy and paste into your message. Then when you hit (post quick reply) it will turn the [ IMG ] into a picture.

http://RSviewlookingdown.jpgGary,

The bottom square under the pictures that has the [ IMG ] ( in photobucket ) is the one you want to copy and paste into your message. Then when you hit (post quick reply) it will turn the [ IMG ] into a picture.

Yes, I'm having trouble posting pix between how to use the 'insert image' function here, and which photobucket url to choose (there are 4 or 5 different places to get the url)... and the correct sequence....? Can anyone give me a step by step that works?

Choose pic in Photobucket that you want to post here.
Choose the direct link method under the photo and highlight and copy that url.

David,

I copy the ( IMG code ) at the bottom of my picture in photobucket then paste it into my message. I have never removed the http. What is the difference or does it matter.

I tried it that way and received an error message that said " invalid url".

Does the IMG code automatically remove the "http/ code for the url?

OK! Now that David has shown me how, I'll post a few more of the original interior. All these later photos were taken a week or two ago, when I pushed the car out of the garage and washed the dust off and wiped down the interior. I've owned it since 1976, and it hasn't been driven since 1980. I pulled the original 302 long ago, and installed a 350 LT1 (which I'd built, but never has been started), and now being on TC, I've gotten the bug to put all the original parts and engine back in. These photos are as it is right now, but I hope to soon have all the original parts reinstalled. Car has is factory original, with factory paint from cowl back (front repainted and lower valence replaced sometime before I bought it. Original 302, cowl induction, all tinted glass, orange/black houndstooth interior, gauges, etc. It still has the original factory mfg sticker on the door! (sn and 9/69).,. Here are a few more photos!

I appreciate your comments very much, but. . I haven't driven it in 28 yrs, so I've got a ways to go re-installing parts I removed (once I find them all!).. Maybe one day I can put on some photos with the car somewhere besides in front of or inside my garage! :) I've got the hood removed, to remove some bondo on the front of it. after removing somewhere between a pnt and a quart of fillter, I found a small dent which could have been straightened or filled with maybe a tablespoon of filler! I'm going to do a better repair of the small dent, repaint the hood and reinstall the 302 and then *awayyy we will go*... :)
