Hey guys:

A couple of weeks ago I pulled my original booster that was replated because it was leaking. I am re-installing a repro booster that was previously on the car. I do not remember how the plastic housing on the arm goes. Does the flange go on the inside (passenger compartment side) of the firewall with the body sticking through to the engine compartment or is the flange on the engine side of the firewall? Also, when I get in the car tonight to hook up the booster to the brake pedal there was an "O" ring on the floor under the brake pedal. I do not remember seeing this "O" ring when I took the pin off to disconnect the arm from the brake pedal. Where does this "O" ring go? It is about .570" O.D. and about .400" I.D.

One more thing. I am having trouble getting the angle of the arm to line up to connect the bracket to the pedal. I think I just need to loosen up the mounting nuts a little more and I should be able to line it up but the arm from the boster definitely seems to not want to go up far enough to line up with hole in the brake pedal.

Any advice is appreciated.

Thanks

Mark

Connecting the bracket to the pedal can be a tight fit. It helps to have someone line it up inside the car while you bolt up the booster. I am not sure about that O ring.

There are two holes in the brake pedal arm for the booster pushrod clevis and pin attachment; manual brakes use the top hole, and power brakes use the bottom hole. :)
