I ordered a Autogear M-22W from Jody and he is asking me what tires I plan to use on my car. I like white letter tires on Rally Wheels but I was thinking I should go to a 17" wheel with a 27" tire so I can pick up a few MPH on the highway. I have 3:73 gears.

I currently have 15" rallys and the centercaps and rings would need to be replaced so I was thinking I would just buy a new set of 17x7 and 17x8 wheels from http://pics.ebaystatic.com/aw/pics/s.gifrallywheelman (http://myworld.ebay.com/ebaymotors/rallywheelman/) on ebay. I would miss the RWL but do you think it is a worthy trade-off?

Thanks for your opnions.

If you Want to check this out www.wheelvyntiques.com they also have 17" steel rallys..

These are billet 18"... Id try and stick the black wall out, it looks better on the bigger tires.

255 60 15 is about 27" diameter, and looks good on a 69.

The main problem with larger diameters in steel rallys is finding a trim ring that looks good. If you go billet like Skip's that solves the trim ring problem.

. It's been said that one of the first things that people notice about a car is the wheels. They are kinda like "jewelry" for cars.
