I have a rear end shake. It could be these POS cragar 14x9 rims with 265x55r14 BFGs on the backs, with cragar 14x8s on the front. Anyway it is time for new rims.
Will it hurt the car in any way to run it temporily with 17x9/9.5" rims on the back, say a 255-275x40r17, and the 14s out front?

You will not hurt anything running different sizes. It should at least be the same size on each side of the rear. For the fronts its also better to have a matched pair on each side for handling.
