hey guys.

I'm 18 and I'm lookin to get a camaro. My buddy has a 92' RS forsale the body has 140k miles on it, he's had the car for 5 years and has put 5k on it, the guy that he bought it off of did a engine swap and put a 350 5.7L in it. The gas gauge isn't working in it...hard fix or no? Cars a t-top w. dyno max exhaust. car has mostly all highway miles on it. I don't know what to look for to see if it's good or bad, just need some help. He's askin 3500$ for it, let me know what to look for and what questions to ask. thanks

If its straight, I would offer that. That body style with a 350 will be awesome and get decent mileage...

just check for rust under it and make sure the doors and front clip are square. Check the Radiator support for damage and look at the rear of the car for anything that doesnt look write.
F 3K I would do it sight unseen. The body and motor are worth that to me...

For it being a t-top the uni-bodys were a little weak so make sure the doors are not sticking or not lineing up to the door jam could be a sign of body twist as far as the fuel gauge it could be a fuse or bad wire or the guage it self those are ok to fix if its the unit in the tank that is a little harder to fix.

Sounds like a fair price. Do you know how many miles is on the 350? do you plan on a restoration project or just a ride?

Is it a Manual or Automatic?
CAMARO"s are NOT winter driven cars.......

Most importantly, How is the Body? most common area's on 3rd gens are the Wheel wells and floor pans. check the front an rear suspension, uni-body cars have a tendency to rust out and frame twists in T-top cars.

i bought my 89' a year ago, I replaced my camaro floors from the dash to the rear seats because i could Literaly Flintstones the car- after lots of $$$$ spent, it worth it.

After buying my Camaro, It immediatly became an ubsession, and changed my life. I am a motor head. I absolutly recomend you research about others. Buy A CAMARO!!!!http://www.camaros.net/forums/images/icons/icon14.gif
