I've got a chance to buy a rebuilt Holley 3910 with '67 date codes. Books say it's for 1967 302 (Z28) and big blocks.... I can buy it for a very decent price ~$150), and although I don't really need it, I'm thinking it would be nice to have it on my shelf as a ''spare' for my '69 302 and '70 LT1/350 engines.... Do these things carry a premium?

1967 3910 rebuilt with good 67 dates have been in the $1300 - $1700 range.
Rebuilders are half that.
I would buy it all day long at $150. The earlier the date in 1967, the more desirable.

Would you consider passing it on to a person who needs it? (me!) That is, if the date is ok for my build. My original engine is long gone, (L78) And I'm trying to find all the needed pieces.

I bought it yesterday. Picked it up along with the 3310 I was having the man build for me. I'm going to install the 3310 on a '70 LT1 engine I built, and was planning on 'shelving' the 3910. This fella builds holleys for all the racers around, so I'm confident both will run perfectly; he told me if it didn't, that he would 'come' to me... I wouldn't even have to bring it back, so at least he's confident and I am confident in him from talking to him, seeing his work, and some of his cars.
If you knew me, you'd know I don't 'sell' very much. (I'm a collector! *L*)... but I would trade it for something for one of my cars....?? I've got a '69 Camaro Z28/RS, 72 El Camino, several older corvettes and some classic chevys/nomads....

Let me look and see what I may have. I had a nice 70 ElCamino project back in the late '80s. I had to sell it to get some cash to put a roof on the garage! I know I have some NOS trim that I kept. I'll send you a message next week after I have a look-see.
My wife says I'm a collector. too! (junk collector) I don't sell much, either, but someday I need to get the stuff I don't need to a good home.
I just have the one project Camaro. (needs total resto) And lately have been trying to find things that it needs.
