What would be the correct air cleaner assembly for a 69 ss 350 4 speed car X55 non cowl hood car, would it have the vacuum pot or not and any good sources of finding one. Is this the correct one http://www.rickscamaros.com/product.asp?pf%5Fid=CI%2D4&dept%5Fid=3156

It would not have the vacuum port (thats for an automatic trans). The snorkel needs to be open and it faces to the passenger side of the engine compartment. It also needs a chrome lid. If you do a search you will find some photos. If you locate an extra one, let me know, I've been looking for a while......:) Ryan

No chrome lids on closed element air cleaners. Only the big block and Z28 open element air cleaners had chrome lids.

Huh? There are several SS350 engine bay photos in vintage magazines showing the standard air cleaner with a chromed lid.

This has been rehashed in here many times. Chrome Lid on 69 SS350 closed element is what I was told.

My 69 SS350 has the closed base with a chrome lid. It also has chrome valve covers.

It also has chrome valve covers.
The chrome valve covers were added by a previous owner. :)
