Hi all, I had 3 questions regarding the install of a gas tank on a 69 camaro

1. What would be used to affix the rubber anti squeek pads to the top of the tank. Epoxy?

2. there is a hole in the tank on the rear pass corner where the tank edge flips up, I'm not sure what its for.

3. There is a rectangle piece in my anti-sqeek kit and I am unsure where it goes.

1. 3M Weatherstrip adhesive works well. It doesnt really take much, just enough to hold it in place during install.

2. Should not be a hole in the tank there.

3. It goes on top of the tank, between the sending unit hole and the filler neck.

I thought the hole was strange. Its a brand new tank, but the hole looks deliberate. Iwt looks like a 3/8" bolt would go through it. Since it is on the edge where the 2 pieces of sheet metal come together i'm not sure if it will be an issue.

Shouldnt be any hole in the RR flange that I'm aware of, but if it's only in the flange and not into the tank itself there shouldn't be any problem.

If the hole is outboard of the roller-weld seam, it won't hurt anything; if it's inboard of the weld seam, return the tank.
