I just put a 4.10 ring and pinion gear in my Camaro and I want the speedo to work at the wright speed. The trans drive gear has 10 teeth on it. Does anyone know what color of driven gear it should have? I do not know if this matters but I have 26.00 inch tall tires.

Never heard of a 10 tooth drive gear on a manual tranny!.....It will either have the common 8 tooth, or a 9 tooth drive gear, on the newer tranny's.

The drive gear is in a turbo 350. Is there a 10 tooth for that? I will recount the teeth.

Count the teeth on the side of the drive gear. Don’t count across the face of the gear. In other words only count the start of each tooth. If the gear is in the transmission you will need to place the transmission in neutral and rotate the output shaft to get an accurate count. A spot of grease on tooth #1 will keep you from counting the same tooth twice.
This gear (not from a Chevy) has 7 teeth.

Do not post a yellow T5 Furd drive gear on Team Camaro!
Some TH350 utilize a purple 10 tooth drive gear.
Bug..........What transmission do you have?

I have a turbo 350 trans.
I pulled the tail shaft off and replaced the 10 tooth gear with a 8 tooth gear to give me the ratio I needed for the new gear I put in the rear end.
I ran a 12.65 in the 1/4 mile with a 3.31 gear.
Now I have a 4.10 gear and hope to go faster in the 1/4.
Thanks Team Camaro for all your help
