Unless the horns have stamped part numbers ending in 289 and 290, they are not correct for 69 Camaro. They might fit and work, but they are not correct. If you search "289" here, there are several threads with pics of correct horns for 69. I think 70 and 71 Camaro might have used the same horns according to previous threads here, but I have not found a 70 or 71 with original horns to verify. The 289 and 290 have fairly specific brackets and are oriented to point the right direction when installed.

Decent rebuildable 289 and 290 cores sell for around $100 for the pair. Horn Works has rebuilt 289 and 290 for around $400. There are some new repros being sold by the vendors that are incorrect (point the wrong way) for $150 a pair. Guys have been buying those and running them as is, or drilling the brackets out and repositioning them to be more correct.

The horns themselves are all the same. The difference is the shape and positioning of the brackets. Sometimes the difference is very minor, other times the bracket is very different. If you want to see how similar the Impala ones are to the Camaro ones, do a search on this forum; you'll probably find some good pics. There was a good discussion and some pics about a year or so ago.

BTW, If I remember right, the 289 and 290 are stamped around the rim of the horn.

I had a correct pair, and had Horn Works rebuild them for me....seems like $169....or maybe $269. They are perfect.

For some reason, I could not copy the url here, but search "horn works" and there's a thread in June of 2006 with some pics.
