Done a number of searches. I am going to measure before I buy wheels and tires as well. Probably get a Tiremount mate. Thinking of going with Michelin Pilot Sport 2s, not sure of the manufacturer of the rim (still working the budget).

69 Camaro

Front

stock sub-frame
17x8 with 245/45/17 (25.67" diameter, 9.57" section width on an 8" rim)
Backspacing 4.75" or 4.875"

Rear

Mini-tubbed
G-Bar
Stock width rear end
17x11 with 335/35/17 (26.22" diameter, 13.1" section width on a 11" rim)
Backspacing 7" or 7.125"

Does that backspacing for both the front and especially the rear sound about right? I'm going to measure to be sure, but some independent ballparking is always nice

Thanks in advance!

Your numbers look pretty good. How low is your car??? For the front I am running 2" drop springs with 18x8's...5" bs. Tires are 245/40/18's. Still rubs on the passenger side. But I know lots of guys are running 4.75 and 4.875 and are fine. If you are tucking the tires I would go at least 4.875....

One the rear....I think you just about right. I am gonna send you a PM. I have some info on some 335/35/17's.

Ron,

Thanks for the reply. Sorry forgot that info about the ride height.

Front has the AFX spindles so about .75 of drop for those. Both front and rear are coil-overs, so I can set the ride height from stock to about 1-1/2 to 2" drop. As long as I can nail the BS should be able to tweak the ride height a bit and find the sweet spot.

When you rub is it mostly just under corning with at 5" BS in the front? Also responded to your PM.

Mine rubs going up any curbs or dips with a passenger in the car. Im planning on going to 225/45/18's to "roll" the sidewalls of the tire a bit. This is the factory size that BMW M3's run up front on 18x8's. I returned the PM.
