BigRed-L72 Mar 5th, 03, 06:08 AM I`ve used one on a number of motors. They allow easy timing adjustments. The motors seemed to smooth out some too. You`ll have to lock out your distributer to use it though. One thing i didn`t like about it was that you can`t use your vac adv. For a street car that may or not be a problem. I also broke a bunch of starters, infact it`s at the factory(Autotronics) right now having it reconditioned. The 20* start/retard seems to be non functional. Also the high speed retard seems to be OTL. We`re going to put it on the 69 as soon as I get it back. chicane67 Mar 5th, 03, 07:48 AM Love 'em. Ran one until I splurged for a digital 7 programmable....... It was much eaiser than what I have now.....now I need a damn laptop in the car. 69RS/SS350 Mar 5th, 03, 01:59 PM Guys, thanks for the replies. I don't have vac advance on my carb, so that obviously won't be a problem. I thought it would be a plus since I'm at 5000' elevation and i will be taking this car to much lower elevations. Looking forward to getting it installed and playing with it. |
