has anyone used Vintage Air on a 69 big block? What side is the compressor on? I would like to keep the long water pump, but don't want the compressor on the drivers side due to the long a/c hoses. Any suggestions?

One, I didn't want to have to route all that "EXTRA" hose that is required when you put compressor on the driver's side. Two, if you ever want to put a centrifical supercharger on, it needs to go on the driver's side and it is MUCH easier to work around the alternator then it is the compressor. You will need a SHORT water pump setup and basically a 68 pulley setup and bracketry. I also have power steering. On the alternator setup, use a GATES belt and a DEEP groove pulley and you won't have any problems with throwing belt at HIGH RPM. GOOD LUCK.
