I own a 1978 Z28 clone(Originally a Type-LT) with a white vinyl top. My father owned this car for nearly two decades before me, and he told me that the vinyl top second gen Camaros were only made in California. Is this true? If not, how can I find out exactly where my car was built?

I know many of the first gen Camaros came with a vinyl top, but this is probably the only second gen Camaro I have ever seen with factory vinyl.
