New here but far from new to 1st generation Camaros. Crusty old fart who's owned a bunch of them over the years including a 69 Z with 52k miles, 68 SS/RS 396, among others. Having become burned out by the whole restoration thing and searching high & low for the "correct" parts, I'm currently building a 67 my way. Started with a 6 cylinder PG donor car. The odd thing is that this car was all original and came stock with a 12 bolt rear. It was an open rear with 2.73 gears but a 12 bolt all the same so it got a posi unit, 3.55s & disc brakes. Engine is a 355 with 10-1 lightweight flat top pistons, Milodon main studs, forged crank, Comp Cams cam, RHS heads, Edelbrock intake with Holley 750, etc. Basically I used a spare engine I had from a NASCAR Pro-Stock I used to own. Old School stuff but should make around 450HP on pump gas. Muncie 4spd, 4 wheel disc brakes with Wilwood aluminum calipers using stock big front pads & metric small type front pads in the rear. Running gear is finished, body work is finished & waiting for paint & interior is missing in action at the moment. Using a wiring harness from American Autowire. Wheels & tires yet to be determined.

Welcome, Mark. Enjoy your creation. An Epping participant? Never raced at Epping having been involved in circle track racing for many years but used to have a vendor spot there every year for the Super Chevy meet selling used Camaro & Chevelle parts. I bet I parted out well over 100 first generation Camaros, Firebirds & Chevelles 15-20 years ago when they could still be found rusting away behind someones house/barn.. It makes me sick to think of some of the stuff we parted out back then like the matching numbers 69 Firebird 400 convertible that was hit in the front. Rust free car that only needed a front clip & subframe to be fixed.
