While I'm in the process of trying to fix my braking problem I have a request from some of you.

Could you tell me (or show some pics) of you clutch peddal location vs. the brake peddal location?

My clutch is about 1.5" higher (closer to driver) than my brake peddal. Is this normal? I seem to need all of that travel to get a good disengagment from the the clutch disk.

Small block, M20, all factory linkage.

They are usually pretty close. Do you have the bumper installed at the top of the clutch pedal? Your brake petal height can be adjusted as well.

If you have manual brakes, both clutch and brake pedal will be at the same (high) height.....The brake pedal is always lower on a power brake car.

With a normal thickness clutch pedal rubber bumper, the brake pedal on a power brake car is no more than 1/2" closer to the floor than the clutch pedal.

Clutch pedal is slightly lower than the brake pedal on my 67. I have power disc brakes as well.
