they sell them on ebay all the time, or a Camaro parts seller.

yeah I was kinda hoping I could get them cheaper than 7 or 8 bucks for 2 little nuts.

They just don't know it, that's all.

Most will still have a couple shelf bins of electronic parts.
In there there will be some old fahsioned toggle switches, the kind with a threaded metal shaft.
Of course they come with nuts to hold em on, small OD, lg thread, flat...
Those nuts are the right size for the radio shafts. The switches cost a buck or two.

You might get these for $5.50 if no one bids on them...your right about S&H charges, especially on Ebay...but that is how most of the people selling parts make their money...

ARe they all the same size or do they vary from manuf. to manufac. I have some in a can somewhere.

Take the radio to a hardware store, find out the diam and thread size and we will go from there. Most likely a "fine" thead.

The thread sizes ARE different. I have yet to find one that came on other elec parts that fit. I buy old radios with them on them to get extras.

Yep, they are unique. Even when radio shack and the hardware stores sold them, they didn't fit.

I never thought about the toggle switch idea, sounds like they might work goin to go and try that now,thanks everyone for the input,I couldn`t finish this car without you.

i stopped in to a custom install radio shop, the person at the counter had a box full of nuts and just gave me the proper ones. try that, sure beats the price + shipping from the supply shops
