68 Ragtop Aug 30th, 08, 10:52 PM Pretty interesting Camaro on ebay.
I kind of like it, what do you think?
Has it been discussed before?

ddx77 Aug 30th, 08, 11:19 PM Would've been a good idea if the new Camaro wasn't coming out soon. $47k is crazy in my opinion.

Daytona Yellow 69 Z/28 Aug 31st, 08, 08:20 AM Looks much better than the new Camaro
2x67rs/ss Aug 31st, 08, 08:32 AM I have seen it before or one like it. I like it but it is a little out of my price range.
yellow69RS Aug 31st, 08, 09:00 AM One of the better ones of these that I have seen, at least in the pics. I wonder would it pass a personal inspection or pass the test of time?

KevinW Aug 31st, 08, 12:13 PM I like it, but I cant afford it. It would take a personal inspection to make sure it was done properly.

I wish the new ones looked this good
alanrw Aug 31st, 08, 02:01 PM But yeah, if they had designed the new one to look more like that, they would have had a real contender against the Mustang and the Challenger.

ocean1 Aug 31st, 08, 02:12 PM GM spent millions of dollars making the new Camaro just okay... The one those guys put together in that add for 45k is WAY better. It is a good thing thats not what the new Camaro looks like or we would all be screwed lol. Thankfully GM is putting out a car that will make Camaro inthusists long or the REAL Camaro (our gen)!
Thats a true through back with modern stuff, what all the motor companies have been trying to replicate today.
yellow69RS Aug 31st, 08, 05:57 PM I like this car for what it is and I like the new one for what it isn't. This car is a 69 ragtop look alike with a "modern" suspension and drive line. The new Camaro is not trying to be a 69 at all in my mind. If the new Camaro was a 69 look alike why would I buy one.... I already have a 69. OH wait I could at least DRIVE the new one GRRRR.

Rack Man Aug 31st, 08, 06:21 PM I'm a purist at heart......but there was only ONE 69 Camaro.....and the one listed above is Gross and I would not own it for half that price....I am glad that GM did not try and do something like that with the NEW Camaro......I think the new Camaro has just enough 1st Gen hints to it but is still its's OWN car in the 21st Century!

BK69 Aug 31st, 08, 06:48 PM I saw this car or one like it at the April AutoFair in Charlotte, NC. Quite a different car for sure. Keith

Its the same car. The hockey stripes match!
Unreal Aug 31st, 08, 09:24 PM I love a pure 69, but....I love that car. Perfect blend of 69 and modern styling, IMO.
al8apexer Sep 1st, 08, 01:29 PM Here is the reply I got when I asked him if the donor car was damaged or not:
original car was damaged, the damaged parts were in the area of the new
replacement parts, the title is a good clear rebuilt title, thx paul

"rebuilt title" = salvage

I missed that in the description, but it's there:
"THIS VEHICLE IS BEING SOLD WITH A GOOD CLEAR KENTUCKY TITLE BRANDED REBUILT"
I think that reduces the value, but if it was a light hit it might be ok.
Definetly needs a thorough inspection, now including frame straighness and collision damaged repaired area.
