Pictured is a 1955 Pontiac full custom Starchief 2dr Station Wagon. The one-of-a-kind Custom was built and owned by Carroll Estes, the creator and owner of the Roadside America Museum. Also pictured below, another of Carroll's cars, a 1967 Corvette L79 coupe. Other cars in his collection include a 1929 Pontiac coupe Carroll built in 1977, a 1958 Chevy Delivery, a 1969 Grand Prix Model SJ, 1950 Nash "Lois Lane" convertible TBR, and numerous other vehicles in various states of renovation. Carroll's background in Street Rodding, and as one of Texas's top classic car renovators is extensive, and goes back to the late 60s. Former owner of Carroll's Classic Auto Body, has built numerous show cars featured in most of the counties major Rod Magazines. Carroll is now using his restoration talents to renovate the old Ford Dealership Building in Hillsboro, Texas, and turning it into a fabulous showcase for his extensive collections of nostalgic items.
The Museum is made up of hundreds of collectible items from the 40s, 50s, & 60s. Antique signs, soda fountain collectibles, juke boxes, pedal cars, drink machines, advertising icons such as three different Big Boy statues, Ronald McDonald, Jack-n-the-Box and others. A HUGE collection of Grapette Soda advertising, as well as Coca Cola & many other soda pop signs etc. These and many other very rare items help to take our older visitors "back in time". Visitors really seem to enjoy being reminded of a slower and simpler place in their lifetime. It also serves as a history lesson for those of the younger generation not fortunate enough to have been a part of that era.
The Roadside America Museum is available for class reunions, anniversary parties, weddings or receptions, or any kind of special gathering.
