Hi...Does anyone know about the 1969 watkins glen car that Camaro Specialties has for sale 396/375 cx auto car.It is a complete nut and bolt car.Asking 200,00 ,is that priced according to the market.I thought this car should be worth more. It is supposed to be 1of1. All it has is a letter from the orig dealer for paperwork.???? What is the thought??

It's only worth what someone is willing to pay for it...

Just my thought...

Its more like one of eight or so. Chevy made a group of them for Daytona, Mid america, Watkins Glen, Talledega, etc. They are all white BB convertibles with a whole bunch of options. Nice cars, but are they really worth 200K? Not to me. I think they have a very limited market, the car would almost have to go to a collection or museum somewhere, theres not a huge market for pacecars like these especially at that price.

This must be the one Camaro Specialties has for sale? It didn't get anywhere near the reserve on EBay. I thought the BIN was below 200k though? I don't think it's worth that much, but someone might.

Yep, that is the one. Clean car, nut and bolt resto.
But they didn't have much documentation back then.

Bob sure does find some nice first gens....

Hi...
I am going to look at the pace car. If i buy it ...it will be based on that it is a 375 horse conv. All else will be just extra.

I think there is a thread somewhere on this forum that details the NASCAR pace cars.

I think it would be just as hard to verify L78 as pacecar, unless of course, the engine is original.
