Well i took the Nova out today for a quick around the block spin and it has a cam thats "way too big" thats supposed to be a "pain to drive" Well the cam is a howard 302/310 268/278@ .050,.560/.560 lift on a 108 l/s in my little old 11:1 350 with brodix RR200 heads and tons of other goodies and a 5 speed with a 9" and 4:10 gears. Well im happy to say it idles at 900 rpm and drives great, sounds great, the idle barely fluctuates, and it has very respectable throttle response with my 800 DP. Im pleasantly surprised. I planned on an unstable 1300 RPM idle and such a lack of low end power it would struggle just driving from store to store based on what almost everyone {except my neighbor} told me. To say the least, Im pleasantly surprised :D Now well have to see how it runs on the track later this summer. Any guesses?
