hi new to this forum but not car's. i have a 87 rx7 with a 95 lt1/700r4.
my problem is that under a load the engine pop's thru the intake.
i've checked all the normal stuff valves,spring's,timing,vacume, you know all the normal problem's. fuel pressure seam's good 30-42psi. opti is working good. any suggestion's???????? thank's in advance

A pop in the intake is normally the plug firing with the intake valve is open. I had a similar problem recently and I found out that my timing was severely retarded.....just like me!

You checked the normal stuff eh .. how about location of plug wires in relation to cylinder number? It's not completely out of the ordinary to have a couple plug wires out of order .. thus firing on the intake stroke. You could check that other than that i run straight to a timing/advance issue. That said 95 is a little new for me :) .

i checked the plug wires. it runs great if your just driving it's only when youget on it just seams to do it under full throttle and what good is a lt1 in a rx7 if you can't play once in awile. the plugs are about 1500 miles old and are still snow white,which is real lean. i'm an old shool carb guy so i don't know sh..t about efi. but i do know its lean just don't know how to fix it.... so i'm hoping someone can point me in any direction
