Steve- I like that color also. I am having a '68 restored and considered a few different greens. Are you going with a vinyl top? There is a website that shows lots of "diecast" camaros at : diecastmusclecars.com
there may be a few green ones on there. It's a pretty good way to see different colors. If not, google: frost green, (year), camaro. I also considered Gold with black Z stripes

I have been thinking about Cortez Silver for my 68 but I think that I would like it if it were about three shades darker and have a touch of dark blue in it, then add the black Z stripes... I am contemplating making it a Z clone, simply because I like the z28 logos... Since it's a restomod anyway, i don't feel like I need to stick with the originality as I would like to... So if I can't have an original car, I want someting that is bad bad bad.......

I vote for Cortez Silver!

Post some pics when it's done, no mater what you choose!

personally, I'm still waiting to see someone put yellow houndstooth or gold delux in their '69 to show how "different" they can be. I chose daytona yellow (w/black z stripes) for my project but couldn't pull the trigger on yellow interior. STEPHEN: I was talking to a guy at a show the other day who had a Z Clone. He says he's taking his badges off because he's tired of explaining it to people. You may want to see if you can get "adhesive" Z badges that will come off when you want. I know they make the adhesive numbers for that purpose. I'm thinking about getting black "383" for mine.

The frost greens and fathom greens are kind of rare now-adays, and they both look great.:beers: The cortez silver looks great as well, especially with black stripes. So whichever you decide, I am sure you won't be disapointed.

FYI: If you click on the cardomain site for my '69 below it is fathom green(57).

My code 59 is going back to factory after I am done with it. I am a fan of the frost and fathom greens.

My Coupe is a 59 59B car with a 711 interior and fold down rear seat.

Gotta love those earth tones! Yes, they are rare these days...

Mine was burnished saddle. That is one earth tone I don't think I will repaint.....

That car looks awesome with the stripes and the vinyl top. Beautiful. Mine was originally Fathom...many decades ago.

Yeah... I don't blame you... Mine was ermine white.... I think i'm gonna go with something else... The white w/ orange stripes doesn't look bad but I don't think that i want that color scheme...

My '69 was originally Frost Green. When I had it in the paint shop they found a lot of it still in places on the car. I am not a fan of that color so I chose a green closer to the dark green that was offered.

My 68 was tripoli green with a black vinyl top from the factoy and was painted silver before I got it. Someday it will be green again. This green car is not mine but looks great.

My red 69 was originally frost green. I dont know if I can talk myself into going back to the original color or not. Some of the cars in the above pictures look pretty darn nice though.

Here's my '69 Coupe (the original rear quarter panel) after I removed the skins that were covering up the rusty mess. I am definitely having it painted Frost Green again. I have only ever seen one other Frost Green '69 Camaro in person locally and the guy owns it since day one. What a beauty! It's an RS too. The only difference was it has a dark green interior, and mine has a black interior and black vinyl top. I like more of the contrast that offers personally.

I am VERY curious to know the VIN on that car if you have it available. MY '69 Camaro is from that area. Wouldn't that be a coincidence?

Sorry don't have the VIN. my dad bought it back in 69 and over the years has modified the car by painting it tuxedo black and also did custom stitch work in the interior (dont ask me what, i was too young and can hardly remember haha).
then it sat for 10 yrs and finally sold it in 1990 for $300.00 YIKES!!! $300.00!!!

since then I have no idea of its existence

Ryan... You and me both. I couldn't believe what I found when I started stripping the car apart back then. Double set of 1/4's, street signs riveted into the floor pans, 2 inch thick bondo...etc.. --you name it! :(

I actually like Fathom and Rally Green better because of their hues and intensity. But, Frost Green it was, so Frost Green it will be again.

Mine has quarters on top of quarters.... professionally done too! Strange the things they did back then. Talk about making it tough to line up the deck lid and doors.

Thanks! I'm having it restriped right now as the spacing and what not was way off front and rear. I'm also installing 13" and 12" discs with some red 4 piston calipers, drums just weren't going to cut it. Window tint next week (Texas 105 degree weather will make a believer out of you!) A full set of AutoMeter ProComp gauges are on the way as well.

Send me your address, I have plenty of spare keyboards....
