What are the visible differences between 67-69 windshield pillar trim? I thought I had read some have 2 screw holes others have 1, but cannot find that post. Will a set for say a 69 fit a 68? This is on a coupe by the way. Wish I hadn't thrown mine out when I disassembled the car 10 years ago:sad:. Thanks for any info guys

I believe for the coupe the '67 has the screw right in the middle where the others are at the top. All the parts houses sell by year not by one fits all...

I believe the difference has more to do with fitting the 68 vs. 69 dash pad. And, unless something has recently changed, the repop A-pillar molding does not fit the dash pad very well, even if you use the correct year.

I don't know if 'verts are different from a coupe, but I thought if enough people chime in you'll have a nice list.
I just bought a pair for my '68 convertible, and they have no screw holes.
I was planning on using that black weatherstrip adhesive.

It looks like some are hard plastic/chrome and some are some like the dash pad.???

I just looked at Rick's, and it appears that:
'67 had 1 screw hole in the center of the pillar post.
'68 had no holes.
'69 had 1 screw hole, 3" from the dash pad.

I'm hoping other members can confirm.

Well I just bought these, he said he removed them from a 68 coupe so we will see.

They do look like 68 pillar post trims. There should be 2 screws each for the 68 and 69. The difference between the 68 and 69 is where it meets the dash pad.

I hope you don't have a 67, because those won't fit. 67's are hard plastic and have a slightly different shape up by the roofline. There is a little 'thumb' that sticks out. Also, 68's are padded, 67's are not. I can't speak intelligently about what came on a 69.

Like I said in an earlier post, I think the 68 and 69 will physically fit, but the bottom is different due to the different dash pads for 68 vs 69. The shape is a little different at the bottom, and I think the 69 is a little shorter, due to a thicker dash pad.

O.K. I whent out to tha garage to look at the 68 and 69 pillar post molding that I have. The 68 only has one screw at the top to hold it in place and the 69 has two. At the bottom where it meets the dash the 68 is rounded where it meet the dash and the 69 is more square where it meet the dash. the 69 did fit and the difference was not that noticable with the black dash and black molding.

I've got a nice set out of a 68 coupe that I wanted to use on my convert but they ( the coupe) are longer.
