I did several searches and did not find any info? Yes there is. Try either one of these 2 websites........... http://www.classicindustries.com/ http://www.rickscamaros.com/ I purchased my template from Classic Industries. 69CamaroRT Sep 8th, 08, 06:03 PM I used a old set and drilled out the studs so you can lay them in place and mark the holes. x2 this is the best way. 5speed502 Sep 8th, 08, 06:38 PM I made my own.....very easy to do. Just get a piece of heavy card stock and mark the holes out first. I use a punch to put the holes in to keep them nice and clean. After you are happy with the holes, then slide the card stock on the emblem, and trace around your emblem on the card stock. Then, just use an exacto knife to cut it out and try for fit again. Mine fit both sides, I just flipped it over. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v724/3shields/69%20camaro/69-2008-0722001.jpg Then, all you have to do is carefully fit it on the quarters where it needs to go before you mark and drill. Nothing to it actually. Good luck. Getting that "bit" right is very important. Whatever method you use to locate the louver, I would mark with a felt tip, and line up the pins. Then make small pilot holes, and line up the pins again. Then keep getting a little bigger, and rechecking. Finally, use a jeweler's rat tail file to make final adjustments. If you do it before paint, you should make the holes large enough for a little paint build up. Then after paint, carefully file inward to remove the excess. If you back up with the file, you run the risk of chipping the paint. Personally, I like the "old louver" method, as it allows you to get the louver with the correct amount of lapping into the indentations. I did mine with a homemade template, but I had the luxury of an original on the other side, and just flipped the template. |
