I looked at a 68 L78 RS. Here are some details: Matching Numbers Engine, 54K Original Miles, Nut and Bolt Rotissiere Resto with only a few miles since completion, 3.31, 4 speed, smog equipment, Houndstooth, very nice paint and highly detailed. Supposedly everything is correct, but I would have a professional look at it before buying. No documentation.

So what is it worth and what do you see that is incorrect about the car? Please pick it apart! It is out of my price range, but I may be able to swing it.

No documentation

...If you're gonna swing it I would buy something that is authenticated or has DOCS.

Just my opinion

Are they claiming its a real L78 car? And does the price reflect that belief?

They are claiming it is a 375HP car. I would have Jerry M certify before buying. What do you think it is worth?

HERE'S (http://www.camaros.net/forums/showthread.php?t=139230&highlight=consistant) the thread where it was discussed.

Here's a better picture of the (reproduction) trim tag.
