I am rebuilding an original points distributor.
Should use a special lubricant on the main shaft when assembling ?

Thanks alanrw Sep 9th, 08, 10:49 AM Dielectric grease. It is pretty much available at any autoparts store. And don't forget the plastic seal that goes over the well (which should be filled with dielectric grease). I think the figure for endplay is .012-.020" Shims are available from Summit to adjust that if you are out of spec.
