My sleeves are shot on the inside door rod...who sells them? or better yet anyone find a material that works just as well? Was wondering if a hardware store had some type of foam sleeve that would work...as long as it allows the rod to still slide.

Use a cut up bicycle inner tube...

Is that the best option? are the original sleeves reproduced anywhere?

If a bike tube is used, do you leave it a bit loose so the rod can slide inside the tube? connect the sleeve with electrical tape?

There's gotta be more than two of us that encountered the rotten/torn sleeves!:thumbsup:

You might also consider some medical tubing as I believe you can find it in a pretty small diameter or check out a local hardware store. I'm sure you can find something that will work fine and be inexpensive as well.
