There was a 1969 Camaro COPO #9511 4:56 rear but I think the code is DT not BT
but would have to check that

The COPO #9511 4:56 rear has been found on some 427 cars and some Z/28s

The liquid tire chain option are those canisters in the trunk. They would spray the tire with a de-icer. I think it used a vacuum operated switch.

Cool option, liquid tyre chain, seem to recall a NOS setup for sale on ebay a few years back.

The original engine is in a tow truck, how about that. Would be great if it could go back where it belongs, between the fenders of the Copo

I think there is a brown copo in my area, I believe it was bought at BJ a year or so ago. Does anyone remember the car ? Was it real, and original?

It would be interesting to get a NICB and see who original dealer is on this car.

I hope the new owner does the research.

It may turn out to have an interesting history

Dealer Code- 28168 (Ewing Chevrolet)

thanks Chris ,
I was wondering if it may be another Scuncio 427 COPO with the liquid tire chain option like yours but I guess not.

Did Bob Johnson have any comment on why the liquid tire chain option was ordered?

It sure seems like an odd (and rear) option for a 427 COPO Camaro.

Chris it has the same production date as yours and invoiced aday apart. The invoice #'s must have something to do with the dealer, all of Scuncio's start TN. One of the other COPO's from Scuncio is invoice #TN73406 and the date is 05/27/69,yours was invoiced on 06/02/69 and is #TN74466. I wonder if that is 1,060 Camaros made in that time frame that were shipped to Scuncio? Ed

Maybe JohnZ or Kurt can comment on this.

As a side note guys, I do not have access to the NICB records. It's unfortunate that the records aren't open to the paying public.

I don't know what it is with Burnish Brown lately but I got a call this morning on a Burnish Brown COPO Chevelle sold new at Scuncio. I will start a new post about the car when I have more info and pictures over on team Chevelle. Ed

Burnish Brown Copo ?

Looks brown, has silver grill, rear spoiler, and no SS emblem but some drag racers built their own 427 cars so don't know if it is was 427 COPO

Ed , the BB 427 COPO Chevelle sounds interesting!

Simple, with all that power you needed that extra traction.
