hello to all!

My name is John and yes, I am a gearhead. Currently I own a 1968 mustang coupe that "hopefully" will be going under the knife for a 351C transplant.

anyway,

I've effectively infected on of my friends with the muscle car virus, and I'm currently helping him track down a 67-69 camaro. We're looking for a relatively clean project car that we can work on. If you know of anything close, please give me a hollar!

and....don't hold it against me too much that I own a ford. :D I'm the kind of guy that likes all sorts of sheet metal from this wonderful period in our nations history!

Welcome to the Club, John. It doesn't matter what your ride is as long as you enjoy it.
I still remember to this day, one of my fellow college mates drove up in a new silver 1969 Boss 429 Mustang. Impressive to say the least.

John - welcome -- and I agree with Everett that it doesn't matter what kind of car it is (although a first gen Camaro is preferred :D ) as long as you enjoy it -- you're also helping to preserve a piece of American history

really, truth be told.......I'd reeeeaaallllyyy like a 69 road runner :D But yeah, most hot-rodders and mechanics like just about everything from that time period, granted everything had the plus's and minus's. ie, ford's 9" rear is bullet proof and the 340 and 440 hemi's are undoubtedly a very strong engine. but ford had to be stupid with the oil pump and the production methods.....

thanks for the support guys

-John
