Remind me how to put this together. I have done before, but do not want to really think about it. When I was trying today, something was not right. Please post if you know the FOR SURE procedures. I think will not help me.
I have numbered all so that you can give the item to go first. If what you see up on this list goes down first use the numberA. I believe that what I have STARTED on the steering column is correct. I don't have it show here that flat disc cover, only that it exists. My guess is that someone has done it recently on a deluxe steering wheel and will remind me how stupidly easy it is. But, something is not clicking in my "Brain," if I have one.

The bag to your right looks to be the retainers for the canceling cam and will need to be installed first. The retainers install on the right side of your steering colomn as pictured or opposite of the side of the turn signal lever which you also need to install. The piece of spring steel without the holes will install on the outermost part of the cam with the hump pointing towards the indentation on the right side of the cancelling cam. The other piece of spring steel with the holes on the ends will install with the hump pointing down into the indentation on the canceling cam immediately to the left of the one you just installed. I assume the 3 screws in that bag are the same as the 3 black screws that are already holding your turn signal switch down.

Thank you. I will give it a try in the next few days and let you know.
Ryan, I won't know till I try, but looks like you have the same steering wheel for your instructions.(I sure hope so!!) I think I already see something that I was doing wrong from your instructions. I bought a brand new steering wheel from Classic Industries, I can not get it to go on by hand at all, either. I hope it is just a tight fit. I will be tightening it down if I can find the nut and washer (following your instructions). LOL about the not knowing where they are. Sometimes the little things just got to be a pain in the assets. It is funny how many time I tried putting this together and how many time I knew it was not correct.

Mine is a 68 with a column shift, but all those parts look the same. I just replaced the cancelling cam on mine over the weekend so that is the only reason I could answer your post. I have not reinstalled the column into the car, since I have yet to get the new steering box installed. I had a very hard time reinstalling the original steering wheel on to the shaft, probably took me 10 minutes just to get the wheel on.
