I have a '96 LT1 in my '68 Camaro and need to figure out a fan and radiator setup. Is there anything wrong with just going with a new LT1 radiator and using the stock fans, hoses, etc.? Afterall, I'm using the stock wiring harness and it seems to me that this would be the simplest way to go. Why try and piece together a Taurus or Mark VIII fan on a different radiator? Am I missing something?

Witherer, it will work.

I've got a '95 LT1 in my '68 Camaro. I bought a brand new radiator and hoses for a '95. I built some brackets to mount the radiator. I had to trim the hoses down a bit.

I got a used '95 LT1 fan assembly from the junkyard and bolted it on, and it works fine.

Make sure you understand you have to fabricate the radiator brackets entirely.
