My son is looking at cat-back options for his 95 Z28. He visited a shop today that carries magnaflow. While I would be very happy with a Dynomax Super Turbo I am being open minded and asking opinions. Anyone out there with a opinion, positive or negative, please chime in. I don't mind an aggressive sound, but I don't want an obnoxious or overbearing sound ... Thanks in advance to any and all who take the time to respond ....

It's been discussed here before that the Magnaflow is the same design as the Dynomax Ultraflow. I would pick either of these over the Super Turbos, because in my experiences with them, they are only 1 small step over stock in sound. But, that's just me. :D I wouldn't want to put something on that I could hardly hear the difference.

I have dual magna flows on my ragtop and it's mello at idle and loud when you get on it. They work well but if you want to be heard idling around the parking lot or leaving the show you won't like them. Even though my stroker sbc is quite it has still set off an alarm or two which took me by surprise as it is quite.

Your '95 is a different beast - Y pipe through a cat and one pipe to the muffler. I don't know how those flow dynamics will affect a magna flow muffler...

Just yesterday I had a pair of Super Turbos installed ( 2nd set ) on my 97 Suburban, which already has dual cats, exits behind each rear wheel and they are fairly quiet. Don't want the cruiser to be too loud. So if loud is what you want, not sure this is it. I will say, for the most part the truck goes on long , highway romps and is garaged and I only got 6 years from my first set before the factory welds rotted where the tube was welded to muffler casing. Seems to me it should have lasted a bit longer.

Thanks to those replying so far ... To be clear, I don't want super loud...but I do want a deep tone ... I am trying to avoid that annoying interior resonance that some mufflers cause. I want more sound than stock, but I also want to be able to have a conversation or listen to a CD without having to crank up the volume ...
