: subframe bushing question....

I should know this, but its been a long time since I replaced a set. My bushings came in a bare bag with no instructions. Do the thicker two bushings mount to the firewall area mounts, or to the rear of the subframe? I have them at the firewall but it seems like my core support is a bit low and may be kicked down? Thanks for any help!

Here are a few pics of my bushings. Maybe this will help. The larger for the two go to the front.

There should be two sets that look alike. These are for the firewall and under the seat mounting points. The smaller set goes to the radiator support.

Thanks for the replies. I thought the 4 main bushings were the same. This set was in a sealed bag in the trunk when I bought the 67 coupe, no idea of the manufaturer. There are 3 different pairs, the core support set is obvious, being the smallest. On the other two pairs, the one pair is approx. 1/4 inch thicker. I have that pair at the firewall. Sound right?

According to Aaron's picture, the thicker ones go on the rear, under the seat. Study the picture.

Use antiseize on the bolt threads as you will appreciate it later in life.

The several sets of mounts I have installed have four the same, put them on the rear 4 positions, the two that are different (usually smaller OD) are for the radiator support.
