I'd like to have a less jarring ride. My car is a 69 RS with a L65, th350,8.5" 10 bolt.It was originally built with the F-41 suspension. It has 5 leaf rear springs, I assume it has original front springs. The suspension was rebuilt with poly urethane bushings. It also has a 1 1/4" front sway bar and a 7/8 " bar in the back. Shocks are some sort of KYB. I feel every bump on the road. Any ideas to soften the ride would be appreciated

If you have the KYB GAS-ADJUST shocks, then yes your ride will be very stiff and you will feel everything on the road.Try something like MONROE-MATIC or KYB GR2 shocks and the ride will be much, much better.....

Start by getting rid of the kyb's and then maybe checking into your tires. I can't begin to tell you how many guys run kyb's because they are inexpensive performance shocks or how many ride quality issues that result from kyb shocks. As for tires, I swapped out some bfg ta's for donlop gt qualifiers with no other changes and the ride improved greatly...
