What's the minimum safe distance for the booster to be away from the valve cover?
I have about a half an inch. Is that verging on too close? (69, 350, tall valve covers, 11 inch booster)

I wouldn't think the distance would matter much as long as you could still get the valve cover off. The engine torque will pull the motor away from the booster. I would be more concerned about the clearance between the valve cover and the wiper motor on a 67-69. You can use a pretty tall valve cover because the wiper motor is rubber mounted and will move to allow removal of the left side cover.

Thanks Fred, I mean Dave! That is something I haven't looked at as I am still re-assembling the engine compartment. I just got the valve covers and I'm wondering if I should get a smaller booster.
