Awesome 69.

The orange zl1 camaro is nice.It eventually went 1090s same owner has 2 orange 69 l88 clone vettes.Races these now. Take a look at my link for some pics of recent race. Therse a couple pictures of my 69 zl1 clone to race in fast next year.
If you can ever go to one of there evnts check it out. the majority of cars are either show quality or not far from it. They are a blast.

Ryan, the Dusk Blue Camaro is yours? I was at that race. That thing is damn fast. In fact, was kind of what inspired me to really hunt down a '69. Working on my COPO clone at the moment.

...Ah, I see, I have now forwarded through all the pics. The LeMans blue one. Gotcha. That's the color on the trim tag of mine. Haven't decided if I should go with it or not though, although I do like it.

No the dusk blue copo is owned by Ken Veit(?). It may be atrue copo. I think it was made in right time frame but i dont beleive he has any documnets for it as being copo. i could be wrong.
My cars is the lemans blue and wont hit track till next year. The color is nice. It was togh for me to go blue.I really love daytona yellow, i have a ss/rs 396 car thats yellow and had another 69 that was yellow. I was thinking cortez silver then i got the bug to do white houndstooth. i couldnt convonce myself that silver/white would of looked really good. Black with white houndstooth looks awesome but black would of made me loose the rest of my mind PLUs they never made a"real" zl1 in black. I dont know what difference it would of made anyway as its far from a "real" any thing except hopefully "real" fast!!
Lemans blue is nice. Put 10 together at acr show and you will see 10 different lemnas blues. Mine has a lot of metallice which i honestly think is not quite the way it was 40 years ago but its the best current formula we could find.
You might want to consider putting your clone together and follow rules for fast or factory stock if you can. There a great bunch of guys at these races and really a crowd pleaser.

Rob, i was hoping to be done september. I got a little behind and now decided to take my time get it finished right and revisit my family who misses me from being AWOL in the garage! So hope to hit the track first thing in spring.
Body of car is done, still needs glass installed and bolt in rear. Bunch of littel stuff but i have just about everything now.
Thinking about sending heads and intake to jerry macneish to get them reskinned so it looks pretty...
