DougP Oct 1st, 08, 04:46 AM Seriously -- is there really a market for that type of item ?-- and if so, does it maintain and/or improve the value of an original, number matching car?

Hatman Oct 1st, 08, 06:03 AM If I bought that a mouse would chew a hole in the middle of that the next day!
Unreal Oct 1st, 08, 07:33 AM Jim and HBC bought one a few years ago for about $2500. I thought that was high, but I figured he was using it as a model to start making correct repops. I don't thiink he ever came out with one, so maybe he's just a good investor!
I would think at $6500, you'd have to sell a lot of them to recoup the price of the sample and tooling, and still make a profit.
I considered buying the original GM tooling for the chambered exhaust, a few years ago, but the math just did not work out for me..... I don't know what happened to the tooling, but I don't think it ended up at a Gardner or similar supplier.
Dale8346 Oct 1st, 08, 06:52 PM WHAT A MORON !!!!!!!!!!

RamAirDave Oct 1st, 08, 08:43 PM Maybe some of the people here should wander on over to the sYc board (where there is a thread and he has posted about it) to call him names and ask him what he's smoking
dyno jonn Oct 1st, 08, 09:05 PM Still has the $400 oil filter.
Don't laugh, I sold a nos, show condition, AC PF29 filter a few years ago for $405.00 on ebay and the box wasn't even as nice as his. I though the bidders were crazy, but I still took the money.

Actually they are having a civil discussion over there. I wouldn't do that.
