Just a heads up, Unless you have installed external Pressure Residual Valves, make sure it has them or you will need to install them or your pedal will be mushy.

The only thing my car has now is a combination proportioning valve. The valve says it does it all. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/GM-Disc-Drum-Combination-Proportioning-Valve-Street-Rod_W0QQitemZ310086669727QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item3 10086669727&_trkparms=72%3A727%7C39%3A1%7C65%3A12%7C240%3A1318&_trksid=p4506.c0.m245 Your saying I would need a valve too? Why? This is what I read about them.

THE VALVE IS USED IN DRUM BRAKE SYSTEMS WHEN THE MASTER CYLINDER IS MOUNTED BELOW THE HORIZONTAL PLANE OF THE WHEEL CYLINDERS AND FLUID WILL DRAIN BACK TO THE MASTER CYLINDER DUE TO GRAVITY AND VIBRATION. THIS CAUSES EXCESSIVE WHEEL CYLINDER PISTON RETRACTION AND A LONGER BRAKE PEDAL STROKE.

I ended up extending my rear line so I could bring the Prop valve by the master. It's all higher than the brake system. How many people use these? http://www.wilwood.com/Products/006-MasterCylinders/010-RPV/index.asp

Thanks. I just got off the phone with them (Tammy). Real nice people. I ended up ordering the master ( with the ports on the correct side ). She told me someone called yesterday to tell her the picture was wrong;). I also ordered a 10lb residual valve for the rear. It should work out good.

Anyone know if this valve has a residual for the rear in it? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&item=190254276701 I was told from the seller it does. Can you tell from just looking at it? I ended up buying the 10lb inline one from pirate Jack anyway. It can't hurt to have one in line IF the valve has one right? I'm not to confident in the ebayer....but he does have 100% feedback.

Just curious why you are going Hydroboost with a factory disc/drum setup? It sounds like a nice (chrome?)vac booster setup would work very well with your combo. Even with very little manif vac, it still works fine - great in fact. (Think 302 Z/28) If you are planning major upgrades, please disregard.

OK my secret is out...2 words.... TWIN TURBO..... LOL:thumbsup::D Making room for a down pipe on the drivers side. I had to move the Prop valve from the frame rail under the master. It gave me another inch between the frame and engine. My master was leaking a little and really wanted a chrome one. My vac is like 11" at idle in gear and I have a 8" dual diaphram booster that does'nt work very well. I will keep everyone updated when it begins!!!
