I hate to complain about companies but I bought a chrome master cylinder from Classis Performance Products and when it arrived the cover was bent and the chrome was flaking off. I called them and they said sure send it back and we will send you a different one. I asked about shipping cost back to them and they said I had to pay it. I said you sent me a bad product but that is there company policy. I told them I was in a delimna because I wanted it for Cruisin the Coast in Mississippi. This was a month ago. They said it would take 7 days to chrome it. They said we will sell you another one, why should I buy another one when they sent me a bad quality one in the first place.
I talked to a different person when I sent it back and they said the same thing. Now I am only out $16.00 but it the idea of I did not order the wrong part. It is there fault. I also asked does the chromer send them out or do they. They said they do, so I told them they need a better quality control department.
So now I am going to Cruisin the Coast with a cast iron color master cylinder. Hey at least I will still be having fun !!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sorry to whine because I hate whinners. At least that is what I tell my wife. The garage is a NO WHING ZONE. LOL

I always buy this sort of stuff on a Credit Card and then dispute the charge to adjust for any return shipping or issues - works every time
If they can't stand behind their product there's no reason for me to 'suck it up' and move on ...

I hear ya.
If their return policy is published and available to the buyer they are within their rights to stand buy it. Shipping costs or return shipping costs are one of the biggest issues there is with mail order shopping. From time to time stuff happens in every form of doing business, the consumer often never gives what they are doing a second thought with mail order. From the business side of it paying shipping can be more than the profit in a lot of cases. The best a guy can do is read the fine print and when you find a vendor not accepting responsibility when they should let them know you won't be doing business with them. There is a big difference is getting the wrong or damaged part and just returning something because you changed your mind and it really should reflect in how a return is handled IMO.
You also need to take this up the ladder at the vendors, many front line workers just don't know the options available or have the authority to exersize other options.

There return policy talks about returning if you order the wrong part and a restocking fee. It says nothing about returns if it is there fault.
I will call them back about the shipping once I get my replacement master cylinder.

Just a little update on the master cylinder. I called last week and they said the new one would be shipped that day. So called the wife today and she said it aint here yet. I called them today and they have a problem. Seems upstairs dont talk to downstairs is what there sales guys says. My master cylinder hasnt been reordered and they dont know when it will be. So I cancelled my order after a 6 week delimma. Finally found one at ABS Power Brake that is aluminum polished with a 15/16" bore shipping today. Well see how it turns out.
I WILL NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM CLASSIC PERFORMANCE PRODUCTS period. They left a bad taste in my mouth. I probably talked to them 15 times and also there managers. Buyer Beware.
