I have a 79 z28 with carmine red interior. Everything is red except the seat belts which are black. Does anyone know if the seat belts should be red or black. I have seen pics both ways. Thanks

I have an all original 1978 Z28 with the carmine (red) interior. The seat belts are carmine too. With that being said I can't say for sure that black seat belts would be incorrect, but it just doesn't sound right for what would have come from the factory.

Sounds like either could be correct. Maybe the seat belt color had something to do with what interior trim level the car had?

Base models that the dealer ordered for the lot had color matched,customer ordered had the option of color match or black.And also if the dealer replaced them as warranty they were replaced with black only,as the black ones were cheaper and kept on hand at the factory.
